Option 1 : Minimal Value

The minimal value already included for your move at no charge is .60 per pound, per article. In accordance with P.U.C. Regulations thsi is the maximum amount of valuation movers may offer at no charge. This coverage rarely allows adequate compensation to replace or repair most items. It is the minimum amount of valuation you may declare.

• EXAMPLE: A totally damaged 50 pound dresser; the maximum mover liability would be $30 (50lbs. x .60/lb. = $30).

Option 2: Full Value Protection

The Full Value Protection will allow full repair and/or replacement to totally damaged items at current market cost, without regard to depreciation. If an item can be repaired, the mover has the option to do so. If the item is beyond repair, then the mover will replace the item or reimburse you for the new cost of a comparable item. * The minimum you may declare is $4.00 per pound; therefore your goods must be weighed at a certified scale. Due to your goods having to be weighed you will incur the cost for additional driving time to and from the scale and the cost of the weight certificates. The cost for this full value protection plan is $9.50 per $1,000 valuation. ** WEIGHT X $4.00 (ROUND TO NEAREST $100) .0095 = PREMIUM.

• EXAMPLE: A totally damaged dresser with an original cost of $400 and a replacement cost of $600; the maximum mover liability is $600 with no deductable.

IMPORTANT: The person signing the shipping document must insert in the proper space in his/her own handwriting either his/her declaration of the actual value of the shipment or the words ".60 PER POUND, PER ARTICLE." Otherwise, the shipment will be deemed released to a maximum value of $5000 and a $35.00 valuation charge will be assessed.
